Last week we started a birthday project for my wife. She wanted to have this sink added in the
0:09
laundry room so we cut out the hole. Now it's time to see if it fits. I think we're going to be in
0:13
good shape. Perfect. Check that out. But now it's time to put the faucet in. As you can imagine it's
0:22
uncomfortable working inside this cabinet on my back so I've got a better idea. Why don't we put
0:27
the faucet on the sink before we drop the sink into place. Installing a faucet on a stainless
0:33
steel sink is not as hard as you might think. You really only need a simple tool, a channel lock
0:37
pliers like this and some plumber's putty. The next step is to simply take the sink out of the
0:42
cutout and place it on a beach towel that's sitting on top of the top. We want that there
0:46
so we don't scratch the top. As you get ready to install a faucet, check it for markings. Look for
0:52
either front or back or color coding tops of the faucet cartridges being either red or blue
0:58
It's time to insert the faucet through the holes. I've made sure that the hot's on the left and the
1:03
faucet will be held in place so that you won't drop it. After hand tightening the nuts it's now
1:08
time to use the channel lock pliers to clench this faucet into position and make sure that the faucet
1:15
remains centered in the holes as you tighten the nuts. All that's left to do now is just hook up
1:19
the water lines and the drain lines and we'll be good to go. Happy birthday Kathy. I'm Tim
