0:01
we are getting ready to Prime actually
0:03
we've already started this is all brand
0:05
new drywall and I want to show you
0:06
something teach you something that you
0:08
may not know all right so we started in
0:11
that corner and you can see this is a
0:13
gray primer it's a medium gray going all
0:16
the way around and those blotchy spots
0:18
are where it's still wet all right so
0:21
what's going on here this is what the
0:24
room's going to be it's it's it's a dark
0:26
it's going to be a midnight blue all
0:27
right so instead of primary the walls
0:30
with white it's always best to go ahead
0:33
and use some gray you know some add some
0:35
black pigment to it to get it some shade
0:37
of gray that's as close as possible to
0:41
the finished color so think about how
0:44
black and white photos look right so a
0:46
black and white photo uh all the things
0:48
in the photo typically are different
0:50
colors but when you see them they're
0:51
different Shades of Gray so try to get
0:54
the same depth of gray that it is the
0:58
actual color so if you're painting a
1:00
very very light color then it would just
1:02
be a very very light gray you know so
1:05
you can see this really shows up here
1:07
medium gray so that's all you need to
1:08
know about
1:10
priming walls and you want to Prime
1:12
Drywall first with a primer sealer so
1:15
that you even up the texture and the
1:18
paracity between the seams and the paper
1:21
so use a special Drywall Primer sealer
